Planning to visit HH in Feb for the first time. Can you guys advise me as to a good standard (up to 1200B per night) hotel that is centrally located, and most importantly GUEST FRIENDLY? Have scrolled through previous entries in this forum and see the City Beach may be noisy/pricey.
Best advice wins a big drink!

P.P. Villa, Jed Phii Nong and Sirin are all small nice hotels with swimming pool and right in the middle of the town (same road as City Beach). I work as tourleader and I've had many complaints about City Beach this winter (rooms are not clean, disco is noisy, staff are not friendly).

Thanks for help, seems like City Beach may not be the answer. At this point I'll be there on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, so the disco may not be as much of a factor.
I'll check out those other hotels you mention. It's just a matter of finding one that suits your needs. As a single male farang, it may be a little awkward emerging into the lobby with a 'newly-found friend' if the room is full of Thai families!
