A good question, but might have been better to ask before booking?

Good point. Reason I’m asking is if it isn’t I will cancel and book somewhere else. Anyone know?

Thanks ever so much for the ‘help’ all... I’m going now anyway, could be interesting...

Let us know how you get on. Obviously nobody could help you, but others may benefit from your experience.

He sounded sarcastic to me. I've asked questions before which met with stony silence but didn't thank people for their 'help'.

The thing people forget is that many people on this forum don't use Hua Hin's many hotels. It is then pot luck, given how many hotels there are in Hua Hin, whether or not anybody who has used that hotel, actually invited a guest to their room.

Not to mention, your definition if guest friendly and mine could be very different.

I know we're going off subject, but my wife and I were evicted from a Hua Hin hotel because we would not pay a supplement for my daughter and 2 year old granddaughter, who lived in Hua Hin visiting during the day.

Crazy thing is, we used to be regulars at that hotel.

Will do. Where there’s a will there’s a way. Maybe a little tad of sarcasm in my initial reply as I find there’s normally someone that knows something. Not trying to offend anyone. :D

For what it is worth, I think you will find that 99% of the hotels in Thailand are guest friendly, or at least they used to be.

Yep, never had a problem anywhere, North, South, East or West.
If you book the room for two people (same price as one anyway) there can be no argument, nor any chance of a surcharge.

After not having company for the first couple of nights, I have had hotel staff offer to recruit for me.

Perhaps they thought they could make better choices!

Did you go with their recommendations?

Have booked room for two people. There are six of us staying at the hotel. One of the lads emailed and asked the question? The reply was: yes, I can confirm we are friendly guest. So, hopefully that’s it. I will confirm on here but I’m not there till March.

Thanks all. :D
