If you don't win the auction you only lose what you actually spent. I.e. if you bid 1000 times at 25 satang a time then you will lose 250 baht. Theoretically you could be lucky on your very first 25 satang bid and win an item where the bid price is already very high - the legendary cheap i-pad maybe. Or you could give up after only 25 satang. There's no compulsion to keep going, but you can see how watching and bidding could become compulsive.dtaai-maai wrote:Are you saying that if you bid, say, 1500 baht for something and are outbid, you lose the 1500 baht...? Surely that makes no sense at all?
I think I'll go buy a lottery ticket now. There's 4 million baht with my name on it.
