Wedding on the beach?
Wedding on the beach?
Hi
I have rented a villa south of Hua hin and want to get married on the beach near by. Legally I will get married in the UK, but want a beach ceremony. It will be very small and intimate, so was thinking of beach ceremony and then a nice restaurant after. We then can go back to the villa for our own party in the evening. The hotels seem pretty expensive and not really what we want. Anyone know anyone who can marry us on a nice beach? Also I love flowers so want an arch of flowers etc....and of course a nice restaurant? Be great if I can talk to someone who can organise all of this for me but happy to do it independently if that's an option. I really just want a small ceremony on the beach to celebrate our wedding with 12 guests...
Thanks

Re: Wedding on the beach?
I know you mention you do not want a hotel but Anantasila Hotel on Khao Takieb Beach is perfect and would provide just what you need (including the flowers). We had some friends get married there. They also have a very nice beachfront restaurant and overall it would not be too expensive. Contact The GM, Bruce and he can sort it all out for you.

A very good recommendation in my opinion. It's a lovely hotel and restaurant, and not very expensive at all. Definitely worth considering.

Thanks, I have emailed them, although they do a package which is advertised, I'm not that interested in all of it though....but hopefully they will come back with a quote.
Thanks again

To be honest, for such an important event ( - how embarrassing for a bloke to say this ) .... At the end of the day you really do not want to run the risk of things going badly wrong when relying on an amateur in the business, or having to try and do things yourself in a foreign land (when (truly) with all due respect you probably don't have a clue)....... disaster time!! I completely understand the need for privacy and not to go over the top with money.. BUT: -
Take the advice from the likes of Takiap and Woosie - they know the area well and would not give poor advice.

I've stayed at Anantasila many times, the place is wonderful, well worth checking out.
They were setting up for a wedding the day we left this year, they definitely know what they're doing, the place looked even more beautiful than normal.

Evason in Pranburi is really nice but I would imagine more expensive - the GM is called Alan Thomas and is a top guy, <alan@evasonresorts.com>. I have 2 friends who have conducted wedding services here before and both have done great jobs - if you want their details please PM me.
