haircut

Post by mozzy »

whilst we are on the subject of beauty parlours - does anyone know where I can get a haircut? Ive got short curly hair. What price can I expect to pay. It usually has to be cut wet and scrunched dried.

There is a good barber in the Trafford Centre, Manchester costs about 30 pounds.

Depends what you want to pay, Mozzy. pm or phone me when you get here & I'll show you 2 I like. One is very Thai, backstreet & cheap (but I use them all the time) the other is more what Westerners would think of as a salon, but still fairly reasonable. For a colour, cut, wash & blow dry 1000 baht. I can give directions to the second, no probs, but the first I'd need to take you to, you'd never find it otherwise!

I always use a chinaman in soi 18 in BK and a thai lady in HH down a little soi near the video centre on Naebkehard. BK man charges me 120 HH lady charges me 60

Mind you I havent got much hair to cut but love attention to detail. Rasor finish, sort out the ears, eyebrows, moustach and the nose. All done to Thai tradition Attention to detail no matter how long it takes

That's something I've noticed in Thailand, the Thais really put a lot of effort into doing things right, getting the smallest detail just right. I love that, it's something you just don't find in the UK.
