Fit to Fly certificate in Hua Hin

Post by BUSHWHACKER »

I have a friend who is somewhat incapacitated by Parkinson's disease who needs to fly to Europe.
He will need a Fit to Fly certificate signed by a doctor. Where can I find a doctor who will provide this service?

You probably know this already, but watching the recent Bangkok Airport documentary, they stated the certificates are only valid for one day.

OK, I'll bow to your experience, but the documentary was only aired this week.

Only trying to help.

If that's the BBC documentary (aka advert for Thailand), that was filmed yonks ago. Check out the exchange rates amongst other things. 6 hours of crap. Even the Thais in my family were laughing.

Yes, the programme was stupid, and showed visitors in a very bad light - I never knew how stupid we ALL were when on holiday. However, I assumed little snippets like the Fit to Fly Certification would have been accurate.

Yes, it was filmed last year.

As I said, I was only trying to help. The documentary did show several people who arrived at the airport, and had to make touch and go dashes to the local hospital before being permitted to fly, and in each case they caught their flight with minutes to spare. If the OP is unwell, that is not the type of stress conducive to obtaining a Fit to Fly Certificate.

I would urge the OP to check it out with the airline in advance.
