Try Dr. Parichart Tingnapan at Bangkok Hospital.

She seems very competent and speaks good English.

I can recommend Dr. Pairat 100%. Quite a few of members here have had cataract surgery with him (including me) and I would say there isn't anyone better in HH. Not counting hospitals, I believe he's the only eye specialist in HH.

Dr. Pairat's clinic is closed for a few days. A google search returns an eye clinic opposite Hua Hin hospital. The specialist is Dr. Arunee. Has anybody used its services? Or can recommend and ophthalmologist to treat an eye infection? With thanks.

If it is, it can only be for a very few days. I was there a couple of days ago with my wife and she has a follow-up appointment on the 11th. Are you sure you were there during opening hours? It's only open from 8:30 am till noon and from 5 - 8:30 pm in the evening.

Thanks for your reply. The clinic is a few shops south of Market Village? The shutters are down and there's a notice that it opens 11March.

I went to Dr Pairat a week or 2 ago seeking info from my medical record requested by my insurance company. The Doc working was not Pairat, but a much younger man. No idea if Doc #2 was a temporary stand-in or if Dr Pairat has cut back on his daily involvement in the practice.

Is Dr Pairat in Bangkok hospital?
I need an eye exam, is he good for that or is it overkill?

His clinic is just before Market Village travelling North. He uses Bangkok Hospital for operations.

I know he used to but are you sure he still does? My wife had laser surgery from Dr. Pairat last month and it was performed in his clinic. Maybe it depends on the kind of operation but he certainly has the laser equipment used for a number of different optical procedures in his clinic.

There was a time when BKK Hospital used to send their 'laser patients' to him as they didn't have the equipment. I assume that he's made a deal with them. Maybe all laser ops at his clinic and other eye surgery at the Hospital.

Regardless, he is the best ophthalmologist in Hua Hin. He used to be the only one and all the rest were just opticians (very different)
