type O blood urgently required at Hua Hin Hospital

Hopefully a few good people can assist a good friend of ours who is in Hua Hin Hospital,he urgently requires type O Blood.
He is in i.c.u and is not in good health at all.
Please if any persons can assist with this type O blood please go to level 2 Hua Hin Hospital.

I hear the blood bank in HH Hospital only accepts blood on weekdays 08.00 - 16.00, is this true?

Seems to be a common request, is there a blood bank in Hua Hin or any of the major hospitals? I have this group but dont live anywhere near Hua Hin anymore.

Only 5% of the global population have O negative blood (the universal donor), less than 1% in Asia. It can be given to any other blood type patient but this group can only accept other O negative blood.

I don't know, but I've always assumed the Red Cross ran the blood bank in the building next to the Tessabahn.

I'm O+ and will gladly go along and donate. I was a regular blood donor for many years and later a cell donor as well.

As Buksi has said, if your friend is O- then it might be very difficult trying to find donors around here, so I hope that this isn't the case.

I can confirm that the red cross has a blood donor unit. You can give blood any day Mon - Sat. Straight up the drive and the Blood Donor unit is signposted.

I am O Negative and was an off an on donor in Oz for quite a few years. They use to ring me up at anytime when I lived in Darwin for urgent cases. Possibly due to small population and not many of us having this type. Went to give blood a few months back and as I had been working in PNG Oct 2013 to Mar 2014, I am not permitted to give blood in Oz for at least 3 years from my PNG end date. Not sure what the rules are here in Thailand, but if they are different and they are desperate, I'm happy to help out.

Thanks for your reply yes 0 negative is required,the red cross have been good,as have many of His friends from soi 80 arriving to give blood,he has Kidney problems,Septicima,and may have to have one leg amputated as it has been infected for so long. he is a very sick lad at the moment,Family arrived yesterday from the u/k.

My above freinds is still in need of more blood, cannot have too much, because his Platelet Concentrate is so so low in his blood. Thank you to all who have donated so far, and also for the help of the red cross.
