Iron Supplements

Post by pinksquid »

In the various times I have been to Hua Hin I have always forgotten to look (because I usually bring my own), but could anyone be so kind as to let me know how easy it is to locate iron supplements (preferably in liquid form, and it can be a liquid multi-vitamin that has iron)? I have anaemia and find in addition to eating well and exercise having the extra iron helps me in my day-to-day life.

If need be I can bring it with me and have friends send it to me, but I believe it should be easy to find (either in Hua Hin or Bangkok) so until I can get back into Hua Hin and look myself I thought I would ask. :D

Thank you in advance! :thumb:
As of mid August I am on vacation via traveling around the globe and I am not returning until the end of November (I have no Internet access until I return). Have fun!

You might try the Boots shop in the new HH Market Village (ground floor on right hand side) or the one, next to the Starbucks by the Clock Tower in the center of Hua Hin.

They carry some of their own brands and some local makes. Also there is a shop a few hundred meters forward to Cha Am direction from the Clock Tower, just opposite the Chatchai day market called Income, they have some local makes of natural-supplements.

I hope this helps.

I have a similar problem and go to Bumragrad hospital pharmacy in Bkk for iron pills. They probaly carry the liquid form as well. You will have to see a doctor first. It is a large modern, well known hospital off soi Nana on Sukumvit soi 1. It is a popular health center for people from all over the world but especially for people from asia and the middle east. I recommend going there for all your health problems.

Ther is a Chinese Pharmacy at the junction of Petchakasem and Chomsin Road that has the best selection I have seen and the Pharmacist and his wife speak fairly good English and know ther stock. I have found Boots, Tesco and other supermarkets to be pricey and only stock a small selection.
