Go see Dr. Niwat at his skin clinic end of Soi 112. He will sort you out.

Thank you. Any experience from the "Beauty Centre" yourself? Btw, I'm not looking for beautification which anyway is impossible at my ageberlinmichael wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 12:30 pm Yes they do! Yes I go every three months for a check up. I have skin that was damaged by the sun but a very long time ago. It's quite a common problem for retired people and unfortunately in 20-25% it leads to skin cancer - hence the check ups. The staff there are very professional yet also friendly. I, too, am well passed the age of beautification!!

Normally if it is pre-cancerous he will treat with cryotherapy, by spraying liquid nitrogen on the growth to freeze and destroy it. Cost depends on number of treatments, there is a sliding scale. Go and see him and put your mind at rest. Don't be put off by the long wait, he is very popular.

Don't wish to be rude but why would you go to a forum rather than just phone the hospital/clinic/doctor ?

Because whilst not expressly stating it he's obviously looking for general feedback/advice/assurances from other membersBenroon wrote:Don't wish to be rude but why would you go to a forum rather than just phone the hospital/clinic/doctor ?

Looking for a dermatologist
Biopsy and skin cancer. Just now dealing with a melanoma which was removed and found malignant. My hospital is BNH in Bangkok and I can see that dealing with the dermatologists there will be costly as anything they do will involve many trips to Bangkok from here in Hua Hin. I have been to Dr. Niwat in the past and he was OK . He did a lot of "freezing" but the acetic keratosis just came back again in a few weeks.( I was more successful in removing the worst spots myself with the Aldara treatment.)
So this latest situation is more serious and I want to find a nearby hospital with a dermatologist. I have been recommended to try Petcharat. (I am more comfortable with a hospital than a clinic.) Anyone with any experience with Petcharat or a government hospital in the vicinity? I would appreciate any leads or recommendations. ( I am asking here in this forum because one obviously can not call the hospital and ask if they recommend their dermatologist.) ( I have also met at least three dermatologists who I did not trust and would not return to)
