Hello All - looking for somewhere new to visit....

Post by rattlin »

Hello All

From London UK - have been to Thailand many times - mainly Phuket but also Patts and Samui. I'm looking for somewhere different to visit, as Phuket has got insanely expensive (1000bht barfines becoming the norm). Patts is a bit too full on for me these days, although I am considering Jomtien.

Will be visiting Xmas and New year on way back from Australian business trip. On my preliminary hotel search this seems to be limiting the Guest friendly hotels that are available in the Selekam/Binthabat area though. Would it be best for me to stay in this area or is the tuk tuk service okay into town from further afield?

Also looking to get an idea from website of the nightlife. As I said Patts is too full on and I'm looking for a more laid back vibe. I do enjoy the Patong nightlife and would be interested where HH sits on a scale compared to these two.

Look forward to any opinions.

Cheers

Richard,

Being brought up in a solidly "Confederate" state there are no Yankees, they're all damn Yankees. :D :D :D

Sorry, :offtopic: :offtopic: :offtopic:
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

How the hell can anybody know what somebody else is looking for.
If you want to go out for a drink, meet and chat to a few available ladies, choose one and take her back to your hotel, all at reasonable prices--No problem. If you are looking for the excitement, entertainment and choices of Pattaya, Nana. Asoke, you will be very dissappointed.

The nice thing about Hua Hin is it doesn't have a ton of girlie bars and drunken sex mongers. That's why we live here.
Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?
