Hello in Hua Hin.

I found this website/forum and it has so far, been a valuable source of information.
Including one of your sponsored lodging venues which I have booked a few nights stay.

I am an American and would like to know if there are any American owned bars in HH.

Current world events not withstanding, I enjoy talking with people who can relate to common topics.

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I don't know any American bar owner, but Lucky Restaurant is owned by an American. A very nice and friendly man.
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

Nah, Craig at the U-Turn is a very nice Canadian.
Nationalities are no big issue in HH.

Actually Craig readily admits to being a proud native of North America with a large portion of French in him.

He's a top bloke when he's in this country, but he has a heavy 'work load' in the PHILIPPINES lately.

Monsouir Craig, is from Canada but considers himself French first and foremost, and Canadian second.
He does have some Americans that use his bar as do many other nationalties, he even allows people from Sunderland (a small village in Newcastle for the non-Brits) to drink there.

Also Lazy Daze has some American locals I believe, but generally you do not find many of the American population in Hua Hin socialising in the bars. I wouldn't either if I were one.

Au Revior,

There's no flies on you lot, hey

Back to topic (I'll do your job for you Norseman, no charge), there's a bar up the Pala-U road, heading West out of town, on the left opposite the large builders merchants that is American run (or was ?), also carrying on further up that road, there's a new bar/restaurant called 'Peppers' attached to the new Mongkol driving range where American's hang out, mostly golfers I think.

It's a great place to chill out away from the over-whelming excitement of Hua Hin town, the owner is a golf pro who gives lessons on the driving range.
Remember every putt is straight, it's only getting the right lines that is important.
I taught him everthing I know, it was the best 12 seconds of his life apparantly.

Burger. My name is Phil, I've lived in Thailand for a few years now, and I teach English near Hua Hin. I haven't the faintest idea who Rocket Ron is, and believe me, if I was going to choose a nickname, it wouldn't be Rocket Ron (no offence, RR!). I've only been a member for a month or two, and I don't know, or care about, your obviously chequered history on HHAD. I've seen most of your recent postings and thought you to be someone with a sense of humour, but perhaps overly sensitive to criticism. I'm beginning to think that maybe I was being unduly generous.

Nice to meet you
