Why not?
Bit of a steady eddie, but good all round full back imo.

According to the BBC,Manchester City hope to finalise the combined 27m signings of Arsenals Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy within the next few days.....Clichy has, apparently, turned down Liverpools offer.
Looks like it will be a much changed Arsenal line up on the first day of the Premiership season ! :o

What do Spurs fans make of THFC applying for a business development grant to upgrade WHL. A bit cheapskate don`t you think?

Can't believe they'll get those two for 27 mill!? :? The beeb reported earlier that Clichy was in Manchester, and to think he was once perceived as being up there with Ashley Cole!! :? :?

But all is not lost, the Arse may get Leightin Baines as a replacement!

Clichy has signed for man c, £7 million.
Good price imo as he's in the last year of his contract (as is Nasri) but he has been on a downward slope for the past 2 seasons.
Last season he was totally inconsistent & at times just woeful :?

If Gibbs wasn't so stay injury prone, i'm pretty sure he would have played more often than clichy last season. :|
Just hope he isn't gonna turn into a regular sicknote merchant :?

As for Nasri, who knows?
He's well positioned being that he's in the last year of his contract.
I doubt he'll be allowed to run it down, so if he doesn't sign a new one he'll probably go to the highest bidder . . . bar manure & chelsk of course

Charlie Adam is on his way to Liverpool for a medical.

He should be a good addition.

"World Football - Fowler in shock move to Thailand

Former Liverpool hero Robbie Fowler has agreed to sign for Thai club Muang Thong United.

Fowler, 36, left Perth Glory in June citing family reasons, and said he would "stay in the UK to complete my coaching badges".

However, the striker has now seemingly decided against a return to England and has instead agreed to move to the Thai Premier League.

"He agreed to play with Muang Thong United as a forward," team manager Ronnarit Suewaja told AFP.

"I'm confident that Thai football will improve as a famous player like him agreed to join us."

Fowler is expected to arrive in Thailand on Friday before completing the necessary formalities of his transfer.

The striker, who made 26 appearances for England, spent time coaching at MK Dons earlier this year."

Top man Robbie is.

An unbelievable player in his prime, I honestly think he could have gone on to be one of the best strikers of all time if it wasn't for injurys.

Got my dream job, the bar steward.

I actually thought that was a done deal BB.

Hopefully he'll be back at Anfield once he's got his badges.

The guy was class - no doubt about that.

Any idea of the kind of wages he'll be looking at in Thailand. Certainly enough to enjoy himself here I'm sure of that.
If it's within arms reach, there's nothing to worry about!!

And probably a lot more than he could have been guaranteed at Home Park

Is Peter Reid sticking with your guys now? (sorry I rarely read about any leagues outside the prem  ) His heart for the club seemed to be in the right place.
