After a one week break the LPGA resumes its schedule with the playing of the U.S. Women's Open Conducted by the USGA.

Last year's tournament brought us a very exciting finish when Michelle Wie nosed out Stacy Lewis and Stephanie Meadow by two strokes, to win her first major Championship.

Here is my preview of this week's tournament:

Injury forces Michelle Wie to overhaul swing before U.S. Women's Open

"......Damaged at first by a finger injury that marred the rest of 2014, then a respiratory infection that drained her energy, appetite and strength earlier this year, and now a battered hip, Wie is facing an uphill battle in the 70th edition of the women's national championship. She begins her title defense Thursday at Lancaster Country Club in Lancaster, Pa......"

The LPGA moves to the state of Michigan this week for the playing of the Meijer LPGA Clasic presented by Kraft.

The LPGA returned to Michigan last year for the first time since 2000, and it did so in spectacular fashion. In a very exciting finish, Mirim Lee defeated Inbee Park in a playoff.

The LPGA moves to Scotland this week for the playing of the RICOH Women's British Open. This will be the third time in the last 5 years that the tournament will be held in Scotland. It was held in Carnoustie in 2011, and in St. Andrews in 2013.

With the LPGA taking the week off, it is a good time to look at the fight for for the remaining spots on the 2015 U.S. Solheim Cup Team. There are just 2 tournaments remaining for players to accumulate points, or move up in the Rolex Rankings. Captain Juli Inkster has that long to decide who her 2 captain's picks will be.

This week the LPGA moves to Vancouver, Canada for the playing of the Canadian Pacific Women's Open. Many of you may remember last year's exciting shootout when So Yeon Ryu shot an amazing 23 under par, which was good enough to finish 2 strokes better than Na Yeon Choi. This will be the second time in the last four years that this tournament will be held in Vancouver. In 2012, Lydia Ko came out on top by 3 strokes over Inbee Park.
