Didn't realise you were that old. Now I have some sympathy as to why you can't figure out how to post photos on the Caption Competition...

...at least you still win some though - unlike myself.

Its Ray Wilson who is helping to carry Bobby Moore with Geoff Hurst.....next to Wilson are George Cohen and Bobby Charlton.
Gordon Banks,Alan Ball and Roger Hunt are on the left, next to Hurst.

Rooney as England captain....nope....and I'm a Man United fan......I'm also hoping Van Gaal doesnt make him captain of United.

Not many stand out candidates as the captain.....probably Cahill is about the best option.

So, Bobby Charlton was a survivor of the 1958 Munich crash. Any others in that photo?
Pretty sure Bobby Charlton was the only player from Man Utd who survived the '58 air crash and played in the '66 World Cup Final.

Might as well keep this thread for all England games.

England 1-0 Norway

Sterling and Sturridge had some good moments in the 1st half, and England were unlucky not to get at least 1 more penalty, but overall this was a pretty pedestrian performance against a poor Norwegian team.

I wasn't at all impressed by Stones, who seemed safe and solid enough against very little threat, but appeared to have little interest in going further than the half way line. Hardly a wingback. Chamberlain didn't do much for me either. Apart from the penalty, Rooney was anonymous.

On this showing, they'll do well to get a draw in Switzerland.

England will play San Marino, Estonia, Switzerland, Slovenia and Lithuania in Euro 2016 qualifying at Wembley.

Manager Roy Hodgson said: "We'll find it hard to bring attendances back because the opponents we're playing won't excite the public."
Hmmm, has it occurred to Hodgson to get an England team to excite the public?
