Feel sorry? He had a good job, but chased the money instead - no sympathy from me.

I don't think it was just the money, but the glory as well after being charmed by Sir Alex. :D

I agree. Which manager in his right mind would have turned it down? However, he wasn't up to the job, and has been on a downward spiral ever since. No sympathy from me either. It will be very interesting to see how he gets on at West Ham.

I think he'll be fine at West Ham - much lower expectations.

Going to Man Utd after Fergie was always a poisoned chalice. Fergie's squad were past it, so a re-build was necessary. Manure fans demand immediate success - it wasn't going to happen. I don't think there's a manager in the world that could have taken that squad on, and had the success Manure fans demand. Moyes was the fall guy.

Gentlemen, please don't feel sorry for Moyes. :guns:
He did OK at Everton for around 10 years guaranteeing them a top half finish but no trophies,it has to be said.
At United he was hopelessly out of his depth and was rightly sacked......not his fault as coming in after Sir Alex Ferguson would have been a no win situation for most managers.
But since then he has been absolute rubbish at both Real Sociedad and Sunderland. He's damaged goods and is very, very lucky to get this job at West Ham.
But what annoys most people is his constant whining about how badly he was treated at these three clubs, particularily United.
Moyes sees himself as a top manager who should be lauding his skills in the Champions League when,in reality, not many in the lower reaches of the Football League would want him.
A recent survey of West Ham fans asked who they would prefer to replace Slaven Bilic......David Moyes or Alan Pardew ? The voting was....
Moyes 5%
Pardew 95%
Says it all, really, and don't forget Moyes got a decent payout from United and Real Sociedad.Would the ordinary working man get the same if he screwed up big time in two jobs and then get another chance....then another ?
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,

It is amazing how few managers from lower divisions are even considered for PL jobs. The same old failures are continuously recycled.

Seems Arsenal are starting to click just in time for the Departure of its 2 stars in January.

Well, having just finished watching the Watford / Spuds game, one thing I have learnt is that the referee, Martin Atkinson, is not fit for purpose. He got the red card right, but in all other big decisions he was woeful and wrong and frequently.

Hardly ! 75% possession, 21 shots to 5, and with anyone else but De Gea in goal they would have still won despite giving away the 2 silly early goals. :thumb:

I’ve not yet watched the highlights, but the report of the game sounds as though it was a very good performance by the Arsenal - 75% of possession, 33 shots, of which 15 were on target - only one person prevented them from winning - man of the match David De Gea. Sounds like a fantastic game!!

It was a very good game, De Gea was unbelievably good - awesome performance and the reason United won. Arsenal also denied a clear late penalty with a challenge on Welbeck.
