WTF!!! Is this the revenge of the Germans?

I'm OK, I've got 2 alternatives, but is this just AIS or all Thai TV?

Bloody True :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:
AIS Apologizes Customers for Taking World Soccer Cup 2018 Off the Air as
True Filed Lawsuit Against via App AIS PLAY and AIS PLAYBOX

Super Broadband Network Limited Company (SBN), an AIS subsidiary having
license to broadcast programs and contents under non-bandwidth operating
category, has been broadcasting programs from free TV stations including
World Soccer Cup 2018 from TV channel 5 HD , True 4U channel, and Amarin
TV Channel 34 via App AIS PLAY and AIS PLAYBOX since the tournament began
until June 27, 2018.

SBN would like to clarify and confirm that the company’s broadcast of World
Soccer Cup 2018 from TV Channel 5 HD, True 4U channel, and Amarin TV
Channel 34 via App AIS PLAY and AIS PLAYBOX has been legal as we are binding
to comply with NBTC’s Must-Carry policy which states that the public has the
rights to directly access all television programs on free TV constantly with no
alteration, duplication, and modification of broadcast timetables nor program
contents as it is part of consumer rights protection to provide information
access with equality in every distribution channel.

Due to the lawsuit filed by True Vision Group against SBN, the Central
Intellectual Property and International Trade Court has issued an order to SBN
to stop broadcasting World Soccer Cup 2018 effective June 28, 2018, from 5:00
pm onwards.

SBN would like to apologize our viewers for taking the program off the air to
comply with the court order.

It's hard to take the world cup any more seriously than all-star games in the US. They aren't teams and it's just for entertainment.

Yeah, right.
Teams are a group of people who play together regularly. Are you saying that the "teams" in the world cup fall into that category? If so, then I stand corrected % if I'm right you can roll your eyes back into their sockets. :P

Definition of team: a group of players forming one side in a competitive game or sport

It takes far more skill to play for a national team than for a 'regular' team, when you know the individual skills of your members (and you have all the secret nods and winks).

Does anybody know the rules for the prediction competition from now on? What if the knock-out games end in a draw after the normal play time? Is that the result or will extra time and penalties be the ones to decide?

Well... England B 0- 1 Belgium B

There was a lot of talk before the game about whether either nation wanted to win this game, and on seeing the line-ups of both sides it was pretty clear that winning this game wasn't a priority. Having said that, I find it hard to believe that any of the players involved would be doing anything other than try to win. If England were remotely bothered they would have brought on some of their top players in the 2nd half.

I found it disappopinting, to be honest, even if it does prove to work out in our favour later on. But we have to beat Colombia first, and I hope we haven't spoiled our chances of doing that by losing our winning momentum against Belgium.

This game was an opportunity for some of the 'others' to make a case for selection. The only one who did that was Danny Rose, but he should have been playing ahead of Young anyway.

I guess, I found an answer to my own question. It' s what the result is after the extra time. Penalties don't matter. Am I correct?

I agree with all of that. But I'm also worried by Southgates vision in this game. Dier is a lumbering, plodding defensively minded defender / midfielder and Delph hardly gets a look in at Man City, so no creativity there, where was the spark going to come from? Loftus-Cheek continues to flatter to decieve which I find so frustrating and Rashford, well hopefully today was an off day and I have to ask, what is the point of Jones, he's only a last option if needed and I'm not sure what briging Wellbeck on was meant to achive. It was all just so wrong and I hope it doesn't turn out to be a major tactical blunder.

Yes, you are correct.
It's basically any game that is drawing at 90 mins takes the result after extra time . . . . . penalties do not count.

Example 1 = you pick 1-1 . . . after 90 mins it's 1-1 . . . . after extra time it's 2-2 - you score 1.5 pts

Example 2 = you pick 2-2 . . . after 90mins it's 1-1 . . . . after extra time it's 2-2 - you score 3pts

Example 3 = you pick 2-1 . . . after 90 mins it's 1-1 . . . . after extra time it's 2-1 - you score 3pts
3-1 - you score 1pt
Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

I think that Southgate was on a hiding to nothing - if he had played what is considered to be his strongest team, the result may not have been very different, but as England had already qualified, he took the chance/choice to play most of the “second stream” players. This gives a few of them an opportunity to shine (not many took that oportunity), but preserving the first choice players from the potential of an injury and miss the important qualifying game. At least he now knows who not to play in the first team, baring injuries.

The games over and the only important thing is the next match against Columbia on Tuesday.

And the theory is that losing was the preferred result as now England plays Colummbia instead of China--but that does not sound like an advantage--Ay yes but if E beat C they play the winner of Switz and Sweden, rather than the winner of Mexico and Brazil--makes sense.

The theory concerns the last 8 rather than the last 16, though assuming we'll beat Colombia is a bit risky. But you're right - at last we don't have to face tournament favourites... China...
