Edit: Here's the story: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45277281
It looks as if he may be successful. Down to the wire this Saturday against Japan.

"South Korea's Premier League star Son Heung-min is one game away from avoiding national service.

The 26-year-old Tottenham forward can skip military conscription if his South Korea side win the Asian Games final against Japan Saturday."..............

That is REAL incentive for the team-- loose and you are up in the de-militarized zone staring down the NK army for 2 years

Yeees, not out finest hour... Unfortunately I work at home, so I was obliged to restrict myself to kicking other people's doors on the way back from the pub.

Anyway, please don't pick on me just because I appear to have been abandoned by all my fellow Spurs fans o where are you Jimmy Greaves, Mr Fish, et al??

I can only refer you to the following post by a perspicacious and sagacious [and long-suffering] Spurs fan:

Jose Mourinho has been seen speeding around Manchester in his car hoping to pick up 3 points.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am so sick to death to see Mourinho in the press each and everyday for years now. It's affecting how I feel about Manchester United, as in the past interested and hopeful for them, now I couldn't give a flying f%*k.

He's an obnoxious SOB and hopefully will end up coaching team Bolivia and out of the damn news! :banghead: :cuss: He ain't as good as people make him out to be, and never has been. Pete

Devastated by all the Saturday 3 pm kick-offs for Spurs this season, which means I only get to see the highlights on Match of the Day  .

Having said that, unless they get their act together soon, it might be a blessing in disguise...

I can't believe that our current position equals our best ever start in the Prmier League!

Another cracking NLD this evening, it seems to always deliver on the excitement front.

Particular credit to the home side. At 1-2 it looked like Spurs were taking charge, and with a team that looks in all honestly better than Arsenal, they could have tightened the screw and turned the home team over.

Arsenal look more resilient than during the latter Wenger years and deserved their 3 points today. The team appears to be enjoying their work again and the results reflect that.

Good to see them getting back to competitive ways.....even if it was at the expense of Spurs

Long way to go for the 2/3 teams battling for a top 4 spot. A great festive season ahead before the all important run in.

The Arsenal Spuds game yesterday was an absolute classic. A great game. Tottenham looked shell shocked at the end.

The end of the Scousers derby produced one of the most bizarre moments I have seen in premiership football!

Great stuff.
