What am I looking for, well loud music is always good for me, I'm not a big conversationalist, western rock, live or piped and a few dancing girls to watch, and no I don't want to go to Pattaya or stay in Bangkok oh nearly forgot a nice cool Chang or Singh would be good.

Hell mate take your pick of any of the many. Have a squizz at the online map and let your legs do the walking. There are several loud ones going at the moment but for dancing the night clubs on the way to Cha-am and 1 Sth of Market village might be what you want.

Market Village is the huge shopping mall with Tesco, Cinema etc.

No idea what the nightclub charlesh says is south of Market Village though.

He's probably talking about the Coyote Dancer nightclub (not the real name but that's what they advertise) set back from Phetkasem road next to the small Bank of Ayudhaya branch just before the flyover headed south (but on the opposite (West) side of the road.

Was a about 3 years ago and was last there but always found the Monsoon Bar at 62 Naresdamri Rd to be a good place to chill out and have a few quiet beers and decent food. has an open kitchen so you can see all being cooked and a really good cocktail list.

There is another place we used to go to called the Lets Sea Bar. it is located on the beach front about half way down the beach between the town and the Big Buddha. Although a bit more expensive than most, sitting enjoying a few cold beers on the deck watching the sun going down is a great end to the day. Again food there is also very good.

You can watch the light fade as night approaches but watching the sun go down seems like it would be a bit difficult since it goes down over the Burmese mountains to the west, not the sea to the east.

Haven't set foot down the bars for a while but when I did frequent the area I did enjoy 'Lucky Shot' and 'Jonnie Walkers' more than the others. If you enjoy a game of pool 'Lucky Shot' can't be beaten, plus 'Andy' is a really nice guy (if he still owns the place, I'm pretty sure Bob moved on though). Johnnie Walkers has always been one of the better places down Binthabaht area, again, it's been a while so I'm not sure if things are the same.

Like others have rightly said though, just take a stroll around and see which ya fancy. After a few drinks any of the bars are a good crack to be in.
