Spent a few evenings in this bar last week. Cheap cheerful girls good laugh.
Nice change from down town. Soi 80 is growing on me!

If this place is an afternoon joint, they must just be closed in the evenings. I strolled down this soi today and while I am slightly exaggerating when I say there were about seven girls on the whole soi, it isn't by much. Throw in a few ladyboys for good measure and that about wraps it up. I'll give a try again some other time to see if my findings are repeatable.
I don't go down Soi 80 much but I went last Friday about 4 pm for a few drinks and only 1 or 2 bars had any girls or customers apart from one group of expat residents I recognised.
The re vamped Lindas was closed unfortunately also that day.

Lippy..I'm happy to hear you found some 'cheerful' girls down Soi 80..I took a stroll down Poolsuk & Selekam the other night with mates and the girls in the bars (IMHO) were hard-faced cows, no smiles, no politeness in their mannerisms, It was hard to tell the difference between the B/Gs and the usual crop of caustic Katoeys.
On my last visit to Soi 80, in the afternoon I found the girls barely awake..will have to try again..full report later..??
RICHARD OF LOXLEY
It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.
I was there last week. Beer was cheap, but very quiet in every bar. The ladies were friendly (many seemed a little sleepy though - only 7pm thorough) and many bars offered massage. I would go again but just for a relaxed drink or two.
Gaew bar or something like that on Soi 80 rents motorbikes. The lady manager/owner is proud of her motorcycle list, and can show you scars from the many times she has fallen off. Great legs though.
Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life.......says who?
A new bar has just opened quite close to Victoria Inn and Black & White bar. (Cannot recall the name)
Unless they come up with something a little different they like the rest of the bars in Soi 80 are going to struggle.
Have been passed Sport Bar and Linda's Bar a few times in the past 2 weeks and both very very quiet as is the rest of the Soi. A couple of the bars seem to have a steady clientele but as for the rest I suggest they are struggling badly.
I will declare my bias, for I visited and have been "supporting" the expansion of the DRAGON BAR in Soi 80. From my experience over a few weeks it became clear that the Dragon Bar was clearly the most successful Bar. The owner trains her staff exceptionally well, she is often there and makes guests feel very welcome. Soi 80 has become a thriving hub and seems to service locals (expats etc) more than "tourist Crazies" so it has a real nice feel to it.

I have to say that this has got to be one of the best soi's in Thailand, were else can you go for a hair cut, fish n chips, a 50 baht beer and a message and meet nice people.
i was there early this year and spent most of my time in the bars, spent many hour talking to Linda who was busy playing games on her PC and the lady who works for her, they maybe getting on, but they make you feel welcome.
The sol is great for watching sports with a few bars showing football and F1 and then you get the smaller bars where you can have a quite drink.
ok, the girls who work on the soi are not sweet 18 stunners, but they are down to earth.
