Big fire down Soi Bintabaat

Post by usual suspect »

Last night (my wife told me) a fire raged thru' many bars opposite the Sukwilai Hotel.
Quite a few bars have been burnt down including Nice+Easy, Cheers Bar, & others according to my Dragon..Has anyone on the forum got more info about this..??
p.s. Our girls say it was 2 hours after the fire had started that the HH Fire Service arrived.. :banghead:

According to the police station, no one was injured and the fire started in Viking Bar and then spread to Cheers Bar, he said no other bars suffered any damage.

JD

Some others have damaged electrics and plumbing too although no fire damage. There may also be structural problems for the bars adjoining those suffering from fire damage. Structurally the whole block is like a row of dominoes anyway

I found a couple on Facebook, on Vbar's page.

Seems to me to be some quite clear evidence for it having started in the upstairs of Viking Bar

I don't know if there's any truth in it, but I've been told there were access problems for the large fire trucks with motor cycles blocking what access there was.

I wouldn't doubt it in Binta....

Just as a question though, if this were to happen in Europe/US/Aus etc.... wouldn't the fire trucks be allowed to plow through the bikes/obstacles? Danger to life etc....
