Why are there no Go go Bars in Hua Hin?

Post by l112a6 »

When out in town sometimes I can't help thinking this place could do with a Go go bar.
Why are there no Go go bars here?

Seems unlikely people wouldn't visit if there was.

Has anyone tried to open a Go go bar here?

Have the police stopped them being opened here?

Is it due to the lack of girls in town that could work in a Go go bar?

Random thoughts...

1. The King's home is here.
2. The temple dominates the town centre and no bars of the type you talk about are allowed

For Hua Hin it will never happen. I thought that would have been obvious.

Maybe you've noticed, whenever you see a dancing pole it's always wrapped with a light loop (or similar). There's a reason.

Move to Pattaya you can knock yourself out over there.
Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?

HHTel, cheers makes sense.

HHCanuck, Funnily enough the lads I've spoken to around town have said they'd welcome a go go bar! I'm in my 20's though so don't expect everyone to have the same preferences.

Hobiecat, I lived in Pattaya for years before I moved to Hua Hin. Have reasons that I need to stay here!

Anyway it was more of a conversation starter than anything as I found it unusual and couldn't find any topics on this.

HH is really the only popular beach resort in Thailand without an in your face naughty night life (not that I have anything against that). But lets face it where there are GoGo's there is an increase in crime associated with them often by the boyfriends of the dancers/bar girls. I think HH is perfect with a few lowkey naughty areas for fun but mostly a family friendly beach resort.

Hua Hin limit is airport, other side of tunnel is Phetchaburi province and there Go Go is allowed.
There used to be one in Cha Am, didn't visit long time, cannot say if still exist.

I believe some of the more mature bar girls may have a background as go-go dancers. Perhaps you can find one who may give you a private performance in the comfort of your own room.
But sitting on a bar stool drooling over tiny bikini-clad dancing girls on stage, well that's not Hua Hin.

the girls in cha am will dance for you on table tops, but they are fully clothed.

Maybe not a go-go bar as such (or perhaps nothing like one)..but on the site of the old immigration office down the Klong Rd there's a new 'entertainment' venue. My first thoughts as I passed was it'll be for Thais, 2nd thoughts thru' my head was Oo..quite a suggestive facia/sign above, final thought was if my memory served me right there was some in-house connection to either RTP or Immigration..?
Either way..the place (or my corrupt mind) suggests possible low-key naughtiness may be on the menu.
Sorry in advance if I am totally wrong.

Well maybe one of our more adventurous members will make a detour down that way and report back - what are you doing tonight Richard?

My friend told me about this last week also. He was headed down the same road, he says the name is "See Through" although we were drunk at the time I could have that wrong. I have nothing else to do right now, I am going over there to check it out!
