Next Friday (5th March - Makka Bucha Day ?)

Post by Bangkokney »

I believe it it Macha Bucha Day - so I along with the majority of bar owners here in BKK will have a day off (woo hoo!) as no alcohol can be sold on this day other than in the 5 Stars.

What is the deal in HH on this day.

I am thinking on travelling down late Thursday night with my daughter and current 'therapy' for a couple of days R'n'R and am wondering if I will be able to get a 'cocktail' or two Friday afternoon / evening.

Where was this? In Stonehead, most of Alms Giving Street was closed but some places nearby stayed open. It looked like the girlie bars had been told to stay closed but restaurants were not only allowed to stay open but to serve booze as well.

I have a bar on Suk Soi 4 - we were told by 'the boys in brown' a few days before that we would be ok to stay open this year ...

However as I say midnight(ish) on Thursday they were running round like headless chickens sans usual official letter telling all bars to close.

Bar beers were open for several hours during the day on Nana but closed later in the afternoon.

Ah yes. I think I've visited your place. Are couple of North-Carolina boys your regulars (John and Mike)? If so, say hello from Osmo. Your area is relatively new, all leased from Swan bar, am I right. When I still lived in Bangers, these bars didn't exist (appr. 2 years ago)

Nope !

I had The Living Room in front of Clinton Plaza until may last year ...

I have recently opened Paradise City Roadhouse in the Raja Hotel complex and am involved with Megabreak pool lounge at the same addy.

Prior to that I opened Marche at the President Park complex on Soi 24.
