Bangkok Brits

Post by Pagey »

Not seen it yet but I just noticed on channel 5 on Expat TV , last night, Friday at 22.55 is the first in a 3 part series about expats living in Bkk.

I will watch it now before I go out to watch the cup final.

Documentary following the lives of some of the 40,000 British expats who have set up home in the Thai capital of Bangkok, charting their ups and downs as they try to achieve their dreams. Footballer Mike Byrne was playing for non-league Northwich Victoria before becoming the first Brit to play in the Thai Premier League, but struggles with the extreme heat and humidity, while Billy Brunsden is desperately trying to build a new British-themed gastropub, but his laid-back local labourers work at a different pace.
