Getting Australian TV

Post by Nothappyjan »

I am living in Hua Hin for 7 months next year, April to October and want to explore the possibility of watching Australian TV on my TV. My knowledge is very limited in this area with my first thought to subscribe to Tunnelbear or similar to access the programs.
I have the aps for all of the TV stations, however, when I go to log in it says that I can't as their programs are only accessible in Australia.
Also with the Olympic Games next year I want to be able to watch the events live and in English.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Can you use a VPN to fool your apps that you are in Australia ?

It's what I do to watch UK TV. I use Hola on my set top box.

The larger VPN's have a selection of servers to use. I'm sure Australia is included.
