I'll take you up on that, Randy. Don't know if I've ever heard Pink Moon.
Certainly a couple of beers will be due from me

I just woke up in my hotel room here with a large hangover to find the TV still tuned to MTV, blaring out a parade of Britney Spears hits. For a while I thought I had died and gone to hell!

At this moment I am listening to

Bob Dylan - Rollin' and Tumblin'

from the rather excellent 'Modern Times', however since staring to type this message that song has rolled and tumbled away and I'm now listening to

John Coltrane - Blue Train

Two giants in two tracks. All we need now is a bit of Miles Davis followed by Richard Thompson and my weeekend will be complete.

Lomuamart, Pink Moon was his last release, he recorded it sitting on a chair facing the wall with no one present except the engineer, due to extream depression. Its a really haunting album, not one to listen to if your feeling depressed. You may top yourself....ha ha ha.... :|
Great songs and lyrics though.

There was electrical storms today between 3 and 4pm which cut off transmission. Also, reception North of Hua Hin half way to Cha Am gets poor then cuts off. I believe the owner has plans to upgrade the transmitter and equipment. Would that explain your inability to tune in Jimmy?

:D Hi everybody! I'm back again after a 2 month hiatus, having my computer fixed (...really must lay off that porn...)
Might I recommend the brilliant Blind Faith's self titled 1969 release. If you like long drawn out jam sessions with solos aplenty but with great songs, its a real treat.
Its funny, as a real music nerd, the only time I really ever have time to listen to it these days is in the car, backwards and forwards to the builders yard and currently on my stereo is Metallica's Master Of Puppets from 1986. Thier best album!
Also, just off the top of my head...The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down by The Band, Haitian Divorce by Steely Dan, Up The Junction by Squeeze, Couldn't Get It Right by The Climax Blues Band and Regurgitated Guts by Death......just a few of the tunes I'm loving at the mo'....oh and just for Randy, Disco Boy by the man Zappa!

Crikey - last time I heard that I was about that time. Saw them on that tour about 3 weeks before the coach crash that killed Cliff Burton.

Randy,
I've found all those six Nick Drake tracks I downloaded from Napster years ago. They sound good:
been smoking too long
man in a shed
northern sky
pink moon
hazy jane II and that one rare one
and another that that I'm not going to entitle.

After all the John Martyn I've been listening to, these songs go well together.
Chok dii.

can't say any of those artists are in my collection lomu!
two artists that are on the up in the music world touring & album wise if anyones interested.
the answer a 4 piece blues/rock band from n ireland & joe bonamassa a yankee rock/blues guitarist. both getting a lot of airplay on planetrock & both destined for bigger things. check them out if you like rock & blues, you won't be disppointed.

"American Beauty" - The Greatful Dead.
Always did like that album. I can't spell vynl, but the record is sitting in my cupboard back home in London. I had it copied to cassette, but my wife managed to break the walkman I brought back 3 years ago on the bus from BKK.
So, a friend put it on my computer. So there, Gerry Garcia and Bob Wier.
Next up is a DVD of AC/DC - Bon Scott fronting the first disc.
Bring it on.
