My wife - Thai - singing along to "Prison Trilogy", followed by "To Bobby", "Diamonds and Rust" (another song about her and Dylan) and then "Bangla Desh" (her choice) all written and performed by Joan Baez. The last being very heavy and sombre in tone, but haunting in words, and of course, x years later, nothing has changed. There are several songs of Joanie that she loves. With less than an hour to go until the Permiership season kicks off I started musing on a theme various things football. Not just the teams and the players but the whole experience of watching a first class game at a stadium. I thought about the songs and the chants and then decided that 'Reasons to be Cheerful' should replace the British National Anthem.
Can you imagine the England team lining up on the fresh green turf and then starting;

Even the real thickoes shouldn't have too much trouble remembering at least some of the words.
