Amazing that I lived in HH and never knew about Ao Manao or the memorials there. Thanks all for the info and great photos - a visit is definitely on the 'to do' list.

I've been to Ao Manao many times, but I'd never been to the Historical Park. I decided that on my latest jaunt to the Prachuab area, I had to visit this much written about attraction just 108 Km South of Hua Hin. Entrance is free, and the natural beauty is outstanding.

BB, looking at the FB page, you state you have no idea what the accommodation block is used for now, but when I went to the museum Dec 09 / Jan 10, the accommodation block was actually an extension of the main museum (I posted somewhere else about this), I went through it end to end with an English speaking schoolgirl guide and recall there were military uniforms, Miss Thailand stuff for whatever reason and a few other bits and bobs. Okay, it wasn't overly interesting, but that's what it was!
