No water south of soi 112
Mrs D-M has just told me that we are unlikely to have any water south of soi 112 as far as Kao Tao for at least a week because of an electrical problem at the reservoir by the flyover a couple of days ago.
This is the way

Welcome to the club. We haven't had water for about the last two and a half weeks, meaning we've spent far more on water than we have on electricity this month. At 200+ baht per day, it soon adds up. Just as well we don't have any lawn to maintain, and no lush garden either.
It's getting to the point where we're considering buying an old banger pickup and a tank so we can truck klong water in for the garden.
Fair enough, they might have an electrical problem at the reservoir, although we were told the shortage was due to damage caused by the widening of the klong road, but at the end of the day, we have water shortages every year. Strange how these problems always crop up at the same time year after year. The good news things should soon start to get better, considering there will be a few more thousand homes build during the year ahead.
I wonder how many developers mention things like this to buyers?
Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
Re: No water
There is a new development coming to the Bor Fai area which will mean many more homes and I presume govt water will be piped to within 100 meters of our home. The problem is that we will be at the end of the line so pressure and water will likely be non existent.
You can sometimes alleviate the low pressure and supply by installing huge tanks, but for those on smaller plots, this may not be an option.
We have reliable well water and I doubt we will bother to hook up to the govt supply.
A deep well can be drilled for 80,000 Bt and for some, this may be the only option if you want reliable supply w/o relying on trucks.

I hear that well water in these parts is very chalky/limey from a well and govt water is better if you can get it.advocate wrote:There is a new development coming to the Bor Fai area which will mean many more homes and I presume govt water will be piped to within 100 meters of our home. Re: No water
We've had no problem with quantity or quality of water for at least five years now and we live south of 112 and the flyover. We were getting it from the city mains in abundance today as this is the gardener's day off and I had to water the "park".
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Re: No water
Well, I'm sure everyone has been fed a whole load of ad-hoc bollox excuses from there's being a metropolis being built to new irrigation channels being put in a hundred kilometers away or whatever other lame-arse excuse some minion can come up with.
Surely you guys have been here long enough to know you are being lied to shamelessly.
For a city like Hua Hin, not being able to supply a genuine basic service like 'water' is pathetic.
They might as well say "There's no water because aliens have landed" as admitting their incompetence and corruption just wouldn't be 'par for the course'.
I could go on and on and on and on............

It's all being 'saved' so that we can waste it during Songkhran - guarantee the pipes will be full during 12 / 13 / 14 April
