New Road to Fishing Village/Monkey Mountain, Khao Takiap

We took some friends to see the monkeys last week, and was surprised to find the normal road was no longer there. The old road used to go past Supatra towards the beach. Now you have to drive past the bus terminus, and take a left turn onto a new road, which joins the old road part way through the village.

We saw a few people taking the old road (as we did) as there are no identifiable (in English at least) road signs directing traffic.

Coming back along the new road, there is a very sharp right turn, which, if going too fast (or a little drunk), will inevitably see somebody driving straight into the river.
