Renting a kayak for a few hours?
Renting a kayak for a few hours?
Any place in Hua Hin where I can stop by, rent a kayak for a few hours and just go out on my own? I don't want to join a tour or anything like that.

Check out Mermaid Cruises by clicking the sponsor on the right. They rent out kayaks.

The last time I was in Prachuab I saw them for rent on the beach walk center of town.

They don't actually rent out kayaks. They offer a sort of organized tour, where they pick you up, bring you somewhere, offer lunch, etc. The reason I want to do this on my own is so I'm not tied up to somebody else's schedule.Pagey wrote:Check out Mermaid Cruises by clicking the sponsor on the right. I'm reasonably sure that they do, as well as their usual cruises. I think you can rent a kayak from their PakNamPran marina and disappear with it for as long as you like.dotx wrote:They don't actually rent out kayaks.Pagey wrote:Check out Mermaid Cruises by clicking the sponsor on the right. I'll try sending them a message, thanks. They don't mention that on their website.Dahling wrote:I'm reasonably sure that they do, as well as their usual cruises. They do. I read it before I posted my first reply.

Hi dotx and thanks to Pagey and DM for the input.
Apart from our organised tours, it is certainly also possible to rent a kayak and go off on your own down to the mangroves and the estuary or up the Pranburi River as far as Pranburi.
Just let me know a bit in advance when you would like to go.

Hi Mermaid Cruises, are you still offering kayaks for rent?

Sorry but Mermaid Cruises no longer exist. Hope you can find what you want elsewhere,

Has anyone come across a falang run kayak shop in Cha -Am? I came across an add for it about six months ago .Have asked around but nobody seems to know anything about it .
