There's been a meeting today with TOT management, agent for players and TPL. It's alleged over 9m baht in wages now overdue. Players cannot put fuel in their cars to go to training, certain farang players have been kicked out of their accommodation, there's no drinking water to give out at training and the grass on the training ground is growing long.

CGF have been given a deadline of the 11th of this month to sort it. TOT, the corporation, have agreed to step in and help if need be.

Not sounding good! :duck:

Who? The players? I'd be very surprised, they've probably seen as much of the accounts as they have their wages the last 3 months!

Apologies for keep harping back to this comment, but.........................

Cash flow does seem to have dried up somewhat, and with the strong rumour that Ricardo is looking to get back into motor racing, maybe I did have just a little understanding

Yes, it's coming across as a real sincere, heartfelt apology at that!

I just find the whole situation bizzare. Points I didn't mention that were mentioned yesterday after the meeting was confirmation CGF took over 75% of the club on 17th August, the unpaid wages clearly goes back longer than CGF's involvement, however surely CGF upon 'buying' the club would have been aware of this.

It's alleged not even a single baht has been received by TOT from CGF, despite obviously 9m now due in wages and apparently CGF had promised a 20m investment in the club that, clearly has never materialised.

Obviously this is specific to TOT but by all accounts there seems to be a similar problem with unpaid wages at Hua Hin stretching back to before the takeover of TOT.

It begs the question, if cash flow is a problem then why on earth go and buy another club with a promise of a further 20m investment?! It just doesn't make sense.

From starting to hear these type of rumours I always believed there would likely be a simple explanation and/or some red tape holding things up, TIT after all. But the longer it has dragged on the more worrying it becomes.

Coach KK was interviewed a couple of days ago, he was saying that things would be sorted out and wages paid normally before the end of this month. He was giving assurances that CGF were in this for the long haul and that they were going to do their best to avoid relagation but even supposing they were relegated, then CGF would still be here and trying to ensure promotion back to the TPL at the first attempt.

Obviously with this latest development yesterday, CGF do not have until the end of the month now, they have until Sunday. It sounds like TOT corporation will step in and pay the unpaid wages, whilst CGF will be kicked out of the club and a lawsuit initiated.

Yes, you're probably right

Any idea what this U.19 thingy that's going on at the moment is all about. From what I can gather, it's all taking place in Bangkok, and we're leading our group - do I gather right? Is any of this likely to come to Hua Hin, or do we just wait for the trophy? :D

[Edit] Maybe we can pawn the trophy to pay for getting the grass cut.

Don't know much about the format etc, it's the Coke Cup apparently and yes, I've noticed we've been playing some games at Mahidol where we were a couple of times earlier in the season.

I see someone from TOT is now saying that they have a new group in place to take over from CGF, says they cannot go into details just yet as they still have a contract with CGF but they expect that to cease after tomorrow's deadline and they expect to make an announcement on Monday.

A double whammy then. We didn't win promotion, and now it seems we haven't bought it either. I'm not disappointed with the latter.

The question is, will we have the same owners next season, or will they turn their interests to other matters as the rumours seem to suggest? Who will get the manager and back room staff? Us or TOT, who seem to have had the lion's share of them?

Good questions. I would hope, but not holding my breath, that they will make some kind of statement just clarifying the situation. So far though, their silence has been deafening!

Well, not TOT! Coach Khai Kaew has resigned from TOT, TOT have now appointed a new coach already.

Fingers crossed that we still have a team next season - IMHO they've cocked things up big time. Hopefully we'll get our old sponsors back (with cash this time). However, if the new owners upset everybody, and now walk we could be in stuck - hopefully somebody will tell us what the hell is going on soon.
