It would be unusual if we did

If you watch the one-sided video, you will actually see the Nakhon Ratchasima keeper stopping a fairly fierce shot.

Watched the first 45 minutes last night, great pitch, good venue, poor game. Not a shot on target,HH did not win a header outside of their own box,and many many sloppy passes.Other than that, will venture down to Fridays friendly, although the pitch at KT is a different colour,green/yellow/dirty,,,,hopefully that might improve the standard.First time supporter, hoping to see the next Jaidee, oops, sorry that's golf.Good luck in the new season Hua Hin City.

OMG Piss ups and breweries comes to mind. PLEASE NOTE THE VENUE CHANGE!!!!

I will ask Mrs BB to phone the club later today to try to obtain confirmation of the venue change. Geordie Dancer, you attend training sessions - any insider information about the venue, or are they going to keep us guessing.

After adding Vana Nava to the thread title because it was on their previous publicity, I've removed it again because it isn't on the latest poster :?

Looking at the Google translation of the pre-season friendlies, which has vanished from the official site [Edit - must have been a Facebook glitch - back now], but was shared by fan pages (so I know that I'm not going mad), I can see where the confusion has set in:

I was going to try to go see the match tonight but with the change of venue, which I think is on the north side of HH, I'm going to pass and catch the next one perhaps if it is back down here toward my side of town.

Plenty of footy to come. No need to chase.

Yes, a very strange decision, building a new stadium, but playing elsewhere. I assume the new stadium must be ready due to the fact a tournament was played there recently.

Hua Hin City 4 - 0 Muang Krung

I don't think we should be getting too carried away with the scoreline, which if Hua Hin took every chance they had would have seen Hua Hin in double figures.

It is my understanding that Muang Krun are a new team this season, and they come from the Thonburi area where there are already 2 decent sides who gave our prima-donnas a good run for their money last season, It was easy to see they were newly formed. We were sat very close to the team, and I was fascinated by the half time talk.

We've all seen spoofs of foreign managers trying to talk to multi-national teams, well here it was in real life. Their Thai manager was trying to talk to a team, which was over 50% foreign (do they know the foreign player rules) in English, but his English was very poor. He was unable to get his message across, and this was reflected in their play.

This was a friendly, so you can't take too much from it. Hua Hin started with a similar starting 11 as Tuesday, but Shota was between the sticks. I honestly don't know if they had learnt a lot from Tuesday, but the first 25 minutes was wave after wave of attack by Hua Hin. However, Hua Hin's only goal in this period was from Wongsawad - a well taken goal after the ball rebounded off the woodwork.

Muang Krung gradually worked themselves back into contention, but a goal from Yongsak (I missed it - Mrs BB had me searching my phone for a phone number of somebody sat 2 seats from her :? ) against the run of play gave Hua Hin a comfortable half time advantage.

The second half was quite scrappy, with Hua Hin gradually introducing the kids team. Our number 9 picked up a brace against very little opposition. One of the kids who impressed me on Tuesday, impressed me again.

In conclusion, it was nice to see that Hua Hin still know where the net is. However, I feel today's opposition will be languishing near the bottom of the league, maybe with Hua Hin for most of the season,

Next game is at Takiab Stadium next Thursday @ 17:30 against Port FC. There will be a 50 Baht admission charge for this match.

Good result even though it was a friendly. It helps to build up a team spirit and gel the players together. It is going to be a long hard season which will test out all the players, both old and new, so results like this will show them that when they play together well they can score goals and create chances. After watching Man U struggle to even get a shot at goal within 90 minutes but still get results it shows what can be achieved when the team play for each other. I am totally confused as others are as to why we are playing away from Takiab. It has to be in the teams best interest to get used to what will become familiar surroundings instead of a training ground that has limited seating and absolutely no protection from the sun. Bust today but will endeavour to be at the game next Thursday. Onwards and upwards!!

I've been giving this some thought. I have a theory, which may be a million miles from the truth, but as we are a club in financial difficulty this season. As such, we've arranged all of our pre-season friendlies in Hua Hin. Playing competitive matches on 3 different pitches must be an advantage. Many of the players are well used to Takiab Stadium as many played in one team or another at a recent tournament there.

The seating at Samorprong has a couple of well placed trees to protect supporters from the late afternoon sun - certainly a lot better than Takiab Stadium. None of the seating at Samorprong has a restricted view. For those not wanting to use the tiered seating, plenty of plastic seating had been brought in.

From what i could see, the Samorprong pitch is in much better condition than the Takiab Stadium pitch.
