No, I could do that alone

Seriously, there are people who would love to go, but I'm not sure they would be prepared/able to pay. Several Thais made their own way, and stayed overnight.

After I'd decided to stay the night, I found a couple of Thais desperate to travel, but couldn't do the overnight bit. Even in my great lump of a truck, fuel is cheap - Kanchanaburi was under 1,000 Baht, return.

[Edit] Because those wanting to travel are a mixture of Thai and Farang, such a venture needs to be organised centrally by the club. Unfortunately 'organised' does not seem to be in the Hua Hin City Admin's vocabulary.

I will ask Mrs BB to speak to Bay (the organiser for the last couple of seasons) if he's at Sunday's match - he obviously has all of the contacts. I will ask her to ask him about organising a 'paid for' trip, to see if it's a goer.

Certainly those that travelled never seemed short of a bob or two - they used to be eating from start to finish, stocking up on their supplies at every stop. It might be possible to get one or two mini buses going.

OK, not wanting to wait until Sunday, I've written to the club and supporters organisations to suggest a 'paid for' bus. I've told them that there are 3 Farangs (my wife included) willing to travel. I've included you Midsman - I'm assuming you'd be willing to join the bus.

I'll mention this on the Farang Facebook Page as well i.e. some read the forum, some read the Facebook Page, but not all read both.

Absolutely devastated - announcement on club's official page last night. Didn't see this one coming:
Vana Nava Hua Hin City’s decision not to continue playing in 2016 season

Given that Vana Nava Hua Hin City were alleged of owing unpaid wages to players in 2015, the Football Association of Thailand held a meeting to seek the settlement agreement but it came to no avail. Consequently, the club decided not to continue playing in the Regional League Division Two this season to take responsibility for what happened.

The club, meanwhile, has filed a lawsuit in English court against CGF Company to pursue the money for the players. The club owed the fans an apology for the incident.
Does anybody know what happened?

With so many sponsors on board, and reportedly paying minimum wage to a very small professional squad, why did it all go wrong after just 4 matches?

Does anybody think we'll get an honest explanation?

I am truly devastated this morning.

This is pretty shocking, you guys had more sponsors in one year than Prachuap FC has had since 2011.

" I am truly devastated this morning. "

How dramatic! Steady in the ranks!

I think there are things that can "devastate" a person but I don't think this should be one of them.

Cheers!

I can understand how one could be devastated by losing a football team that they go to watch week in week out. It's a day out every week, meeting up with fellow supporters, enjoying the highs and lows of the game and seeing different areas around Thailand.

Hope the next season pans out better for you Big Boy.

Just curious, who is CGF and why would it be sued in England?

I was told it was Capital Global Finance. You put Capital Global Finance UK into Google, and I think it speaks for itself. Recouping the lost money not appear likely, regardless of how many courts its taken to.

It's the sheer speed that has shocked me. Plymouth Argyle were in a much worse situation, but they battled on for months, and eventually a solution was found.

In this instance, one person seems to have made the decision, and to hell with anybody else.

If the situation really is that bad, and the cash from the 11 sponsors pictured above has reaFacebook :? , so be it ......................... but a Facebook announcement - that really sums up this season's Admin.
