Hua Hin Festival 2016, 17-18 September

Post by Big Boy »

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) have posted a notification of this event this morning, but it tells us very little at the moment. I guess we'll have to update this thread as we hear more.

'Poorly translated' it says....................
Hua Hin, the oldest resort in Thailand. Originally a fishing village, has been changed into a place to relax by the sea. Top of the world The charm of Hua Hin remains unique. And attract tourists to stay for the whole year.

Cool charm with chic and unique tour of Thailand. The grand "Sing, dance, play, eat Hua Hin Festival 2016 Day 17 - September 18, 2559 at Hua Hin beach.
I guess the Hua Hin Food Fest is part of this, and we'll add more as we hear about it. Please feel free to update this thread if you hear of any associated events.

These events are not being well publicised. However, I have found that there will be:

- Jazz on the Beach - in the vicinity of Centara Grand on both days.

- Dancing on the Beach - both days, but no indication of the location. Logic says that if there's a large Jazz stage on the beach, dancing will be close by. However, TIT and logic doesn't necessarily apply.

Both events are free, but it looks as though you need to register first if you want to dance :? http://www.danceonthebeach.com/

A bit more about the Dance on the Beach
zumba.jpg
The TAT page (translated) says:
Fun with Zumba at the same time since 15.30 pm. Onwards on Saturday, 17 and week 18 this September.

But having fun with Zumba on the beach in Hua Hin this job who attend will have a chance to win big for a lot of trophies and special for the first 500 registration pick up souvenirs for free.
So I guess the registration mentioned in the previous post (with link) is for the more serious - still free though.

Which food festival? Last month, or the one due to take place in a couple of days.

The Seafood Festival in Cha-am is on all this week which may deter from the local event here. Went there a couple of times last year and found it excellent.
