Some qns regarding Transport/Pa-La-U waterfall

Hi Guys

I'm from Singapore, will be going to HH w/ my gf this 01 Aug to 04 Aug. Well, I would like to know

1.How much do taxis cost over there?
2.Is it easy to get a taxi at night?
3.I'm getting a hotel at one of the following areas(as below), are they very far from HH town?
4.Any advice/is it safe there?
5.Is Pa-La-U waterfall nice?

Petchkasem Road, Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan
Paknampran Beach Road, Paknampran, Pranburi

Hello

Have been to pala-u-waterfall during march. Photos are on my homepage

1. cost are depending on negotiating. ~1000-1500Baht
2. you will get everywhere in HH at night a taxi. Or someone can organise one for you
3. I know just HH and Cha-Am. Last time I went to Hotel Peony in HH and was pretty nice.
5. Yes, Its nice there and there are 7 waterfalls and you can climb to get to waterfall number 1. But its a long way to the top !!

z4ck,

1) Taxis are reasonably priced here, especially when compared to S'pore !

2) You'll get one at night but may have to hunt after midnight, best to book one to pick you up (costs no extra but the fare may)

3) Petchkasem is the main road running from Bangkok to the south so specifics may help. Paknampran beach is 30km south of Hua Hin, what resort is it ... Evason ??

4) Very safe indeed ... more police than citizens sometimes !

5) Never been but the pictures look cool
