Yamsaard Kindergarten

Post by Super Joe »

Info for others and couple of questions for me:

Wife got forms today, says Kindergarten 1-3, this is 3-5 years right ? 10k enrollment and 80k for year, plus 8k for lunches per year.

Brochure talks about 'Primary School', this would be 6-8 years old I'm guessing ?
Then gives details of 'Secondary School', is this 9-11 years old ?

Have I got my age groups right ? Yes I know, should have gone down with her.

Cheers,

SJ

I'm confused by the above also Joe. From the British international schools I'm familiar with here, it goes like this:

Early Years: ages 2-3 (half day)
Nursery: ages 3-4 (half day or full)
Kindergarten: (Reception in British) ages 4-5
Then Primary: grades 1-6
Then Secondary: grades 7-10 (I think)
Then 11-12 which I'm not sure what it is called but kids go for their IB in those years and sit some other exam in the British system in year 11.

Not sure about all the groups but I do know a 2 year old next door who is at kindergarten, so your wife may be right. Should have picked up a brochure. There is a website for bangkok with a link to the Hua Hin school should tell you there.
