I hadn't, but it just looks like another variation on the same theme, and would probably have similar delivery lead times. My mind is made up - it will be either Toyota or Isuzu.

Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
I think the only Isuzu dealer is the place on the way to Cha Am? I have only used them once for repairs, but they were very obliging.Big Boy wrote:I hadn't, but it just looks like another variation on the same theme, and would probably have similar delivery lead times. I am probably biased a bit, but I consider the Isuzu a bit more of a "car", as compared to the Toyota, but I guess it depends a bit on just which variant you are looking at.
edit: on second thoughts I believe there is an Isuzu dealer at PranBuri?

Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
I use the Toyota dealership in Cha Am which I've always found to be good, it's on the left just after the railway bridge heading out of the town to the North. (Take a U-turn straight after the bridge and another underneath it.)
Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
Don't bother with the Chevy as it's not a Chevrolet.....think the engine is made by Isuzu last time I heard, though might have changed but.........hmmmmm.

Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
Yes. in Thailand the Chevrolet Colorado and Isuzu D-Max are basically both versions of the same thing.

I can't believe how similar the specifactions are on these trucks it's got to go down to driving position spec, and the best deal you can get.

Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
I think you will find the same as the Ford if you want the four door high version the Toyota and the Isuzu have similar waiting times. The lower version and the two door you can get quicker. The Colorado is the same as the Isuzu with a different body they are easier to get.

Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
Sorry for the bad news. I ordered my pick up last month after going round all the dealers in our area and going to the Motor Show in Bangkok. I thought maybe I could get a motor quicker from Bangkok but no joy. The longest waiting time is for a black, white or silver colour. I know you don't want red Thais don't seem to like either. You can get quicker in red same with a few other bright colours.

As a side note BB no matter what you get, don't forget to haggle over as many free accessories as you can get, and free 1st class insurance for the first year. As has been discussed on here many times, you won't get far in trying to negotiate down the price of the vehicle. Pete

Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?
Yes good point going back to Ford they gave me free insurance plus eight extras. When you go to Isuzu you get the big zero. Toyota a little better but not much more and none would give a discount on the price and Isuzu put the price up last month making them the most expensive.
