Catching taxii's in HH

Post by ajmcmahon47 »

Hi guys , my wife and I will be there soon for a weeks holiday . I will possibly need
to catch quite a few taxii's to get to golf courses etc . Do the taxis there use the meters? Or is it always price by negotiation ? I know up in Bangkok to always insist that the meter is ON as it's much cheaper.

Thanks guys, Tony

No metered taxis here in HH Tony.

Your best bet is to talk to one of the drivers who hang around outside hotels, malls etc and do a deal, get his number and tell him you will use him all the time so he is guaranteed an income.

Enjoy your stay.

Thanks for the clarification. Looks like we will be riding the tuk tuks again!

Yes, and if you have a look round the forum, there are a few recommended numbers to call.

Having said that, a quick search hasn't revealed any, so perhaps members could post a few suggestions.

EDIT: Same applies to tuk tuks - find one you like and trust and get a number.
