Hua Hin hackers golfing day out

Post by buksida »

I've been following the Golf Gossip thread and am wondering if any fellow golfers would like to get together for a round? We did one before during the golf festival at Springfield which was a good laugh so maybe its time for another.

This one would be aimed at high handicap players and those that struggle to break 100 (although anyone is welcome). We'd probably do it at Dolphin Bay because its cheap and there is no pressure, you can relax there with no marshals, caddies, buggies, rules, huge throngs of Skandis () on the tee or onlookers.

A weekend day would be best (although the green fee does go up by 5 baht), so who's interested?

I'm up for it. The day at Springfield last year was a good laugh.

Dolphin Bay has some hire sets. If I go along this weekend, I'll find out more.

I'm in, depending on the day...
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Sandman, I have a spare set of 'sticks' that will certainly get you around DB.
You're welcome to use them if you want.

Barry

thanks mate -ive been told I really need extra long sticks (inch and a half on the club stick bit) but when y play like I do (for a laugh) then it dont make much diffrence.... Ill take you up on it so count me in lads! A driver, 7 iron and a putter will do.

wayheeey!

Well we've got four and a half now ... any more up for it?

It's likely to be a Saturday or Sunday, maybe 20 or 21st ?

Depending if i'm in town, i'm up for a game - will be home end of the month for two weeks or so, then start a 6on2off work schedule.
i'm slowly getting below the 100 mark more often now, however i usually have a blow-out now and again.
Where about is Dolphin bay if you pardon the ignorance of the area - when i'm at home i'll go Springfield or Royal HH.

Dolphin Bay is close to Sam Roi Yod national park. Basically, from HH you go south to Pranburi and then head east to the coast. Someone will post precise directions closer to the time.
It's a 9 hole course, decent lay out, plenty of water and reasonably long. Free to play, so don't expect it to be in the same condition as Royal HH or Springfield!!

I can't do the dates I suggested as Mrs buksi wants to go to Chonburi to watch the LPGA tournament.

What about Saturday Feb 27?

If we can get a list of who is in maybe we can meet up in HH first and share transport if necessary.
