The Chinese government won’t grant subsidies to any new ordinary solar projects this year. For those that are being built, the incentives will be cut by 0.05 yuan (0.8 U.S. cents) per kilowatt-hour (kWh)

Believe what you like. http://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/. "Arctic sea ice extent for May 2018 was the second lowest in the satellite record."
Think what you like. Would have you posted if you knew the difference between extent and volume?
So one person posted about volume and another (me) posted about extent. Please educate us why one is more important than the other.

Chinese Solar Shift Rewrites 2018 Forecasts, Prices Expected To Fall By 35%

"Highlighting the global solar industry’s reliance upon the Chinese market, a decision by the country to curtail solar development in 2018 in an effort to prevent oversupply has resulted in significantly revised forecasts for the Chinese and global solar market in 2018 and expectations that solar module prices will fall by 35%."

There has been some misinformation, apparently propagated by the Met Office, about the warm weather last month:

Climate Change Can Be Stopped by Turning Air Into Gasoline
https://www.theatlantic.com/science/arc ... _page=true

If this technology does indeed prove practical, and cost effective, climatistas will oppose it, as it would use hydrocarbon energy sources, which are their real target

An argument in favour of fossil fuels was that they had promoted wealth by being cheap, abundant and had generated jobs, so now that alternative energy is getting cheaper than fossil fuels, is even more abundant and generating more jobs, what possible objection could they be to it?

If I were the producer/supplier of fossil fuels & and had a large investment in them I might object to it. From the end users point of view there would be little objection.

Liberals making gestures to feel good about themselves. How about they refrain from buying gasoline, natural gas, and coal-fired electricity. Sell all their cars and ride bicycles everywhere instead.

Global warming or not? The following article highlights the massive melting of ice in the Antarctic over the past 25 years - difficult to visualize how much 3 trillion tonne is, other than an awful lot!!
