What kind of eggs?
What kind of eggs?
I was walking along the beach today and came across this:
I've asked a couple of Thais, and they both said Turtle Eggs. I've looked up Turtle Eggs on Google Images, and they look different. Does anybody know what kind of eggs they were?

Re: What kind of eggs?
A size guide would have helped, but at a guess "cuttlefish".

Almost certainly not turtle eggs, they are about the size of table tennis balls, whereas these look much smallerBig Boy wrote:I was walking along the beach today and came across this:

Re: What kind of eggs?
Agree, no way they're turtle eggs. I've seen many live and close up in the Sattahip turtle hatchery/sanctuary. The mother turtle buries them, they hatch underground, and then make their way to the sea. The nests are well up from the highest possible water line for the season.

Sorry, they were about 1cm diameter. I've Google Imaged Cuttlefish Eggs. and some do have a little similarity.

Frank may be correct from what I see on Google. Although some jellyfish eggs look similar as well.

Funny enough, I actually went over to it because I thought it was a strange looking jellyfish.

Google images for the jellyfish eggs show similarities, but nothing I've seen so far for anything has a clump of eggs as I saw them.

I'm still working on this. Here's something they call "bobtailed squid" eggs. Gulf fullof squid so perhaps could be. Pete

I've often seen boats fishing for squid around Khao Takiap so there must be plenty of them in the area.
