New Airline

Post by canthai »

Has anyone heard of any new airline other than SGA that might be serving Hua Hin? Has Air Asia have any plans?

Hi there Canthai!!

Besides of SGA Airways an Nok Air Affiliate I really don't know have any news so far of a new airline would be arriving @ Hua Hin airport in the near future.

If Air Asia would chose Hua Hin as theri new Destination then I would suggest to have to use a smaller Airplane. I'm sure the Airbus A320 of Air Aisa have the capacity to land on Hua Hin Airport but with the capacity to seat over a 100 Passengers on this Aircraft I would doubt thathey would be so much demand for it really!

Mentioning Air Asia in previous post,Air AsiaX started selling tickets today for start of flights in Jan,from Stansted to KL at £99.I had a shufhty at October 2009 but could only find £121 plus £50 tax to KL and £171back to stansted.Inexpensive flight to BKK with Air Asia but probably not cheap enough for most posters on here to bother with unless a trip through malaysia by train has some appeal as it does for me.

I heard that the flight start in March around the 11th, Virgin group has a 16% stake in Air Asia X so it may really start.

The booking time is until the end of this Month which is a pain as i not sure when i can fly yet next year

and you must fly between 11 march and 24 october

Look but also could not find much cheaper than 460 for return so does not look cheaper

But keep looking you never know

The train trip sounds like a good choice too

If you fly Stansted to KL the ongoing flights are very cheap from KL to Phuket/Bangkok/Krabi or Chiang Mai are very cheap.

They have just started the same deal from Perth W/A to KL and yes one of the ways is sometime dearer than the other, but if you book well in advance and can be flexible with your travel times it can be well cheaper than normal

At present I am looking at going to LOS in March and I can go Perth to KL and then KL to Phuket for just under $700 return with pretty good connections both ways.
Is about $250.00 AUD return from KLL to Phuket.
If I was to go Thai or Singapore it would be costing me over $1200 at least return at that time

If you can get cheap to Singapore or KL the cost of on going connecting flights are very cheap indeed and very competitive as well.

Hi Canthia,

I asked the same question on an other thread last week. The answer, sadly enough ,is no. I moved to Singapore a couple years ago but still maintain a home in Hua Hin. I remember being excited when the new airport opened. I cant for the life of me understand why then expanded whatever was there before. I'd love to fly from Singapore direct to Hua Hin. Heard a rumor years ago that planes come to close to the Royal Palace therefore there would never be regular flights with wide body jets.

Getting off the subject a bit. I love Vernon it's my favorite place in the Okanogan.

I have just looked at Air Asia and worked out a Return Flight from Perth to the UK
It will cost $463.00 Return from Perth to KL and $975.00 Return from KL to Stansted. That includes all of your baggage charges (20Kg) and transfers.

That works out at $1435 return. That is at least $1000 less than the normal flight.
I went back to the UK 2 years ago and cost me $2500 return for the same trip.

Also if you look at the seating plan, is 2 seat 4 seat and 2 seat, so you will not have the problem of being stuck in the centre of the small aisle.

If it get off the ground and they continue the prices at that level, I cannot see them failing with it.
