No. I just agree with Ron Paul. The threat is exaggerated and the US population has more to fear from its own government.

Forget the US government, even the people who insure all those 100 million odd dollar airliners require passengers to go through security screeming.

security screeming.
Good play on words Steve, but I think you meant security screaming in the case of people like MrPlum! :thumb:
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Oops, I meant screening, that's what happens when you post from a mobile phone!

If you have to go through those things everyday Steve...be careful. The pilots are screaming because of long term effects and I think they just received some kind of dispensation. If Willie doesn't wanna prematurely, you'll know why.  Pete

That would certainly be refreshing and save a shed load of money. Gets my vote, for sure.

Nobody would miss them anyhow. :thumb:

The $1 billion dollar 'security' bung from Obama is coming from the insurance companies? When did that happen?

Cut it out. Ron Paul isn't screaming. Nor am I.

"You forgot the third option. There wasn't a threat in the first place. Which is why regular FBI 'sting' operations are needed to gin up the 'terrorist' threat, so that paranoid citizens see terrorists under every bed".

For a sting to work, you need two things.

1. The FBI to set up a sting.

2. People willing to take the bait.

Just who are these people who are willing/daft enough to meet people they have never met before and agree to carry out terrorist acts. Are they doing it for money or religious reasons.

If the FBI get any takers for their stings, then surely there is a risk.

'TSA to junk naked body airport scanners'
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/01 ... -scanners/

'The TSA says the X-ray scanners will be gone by June because Rapiscan was not able to come up with a software fix to make the scanners comply with a Congressional mandate that the scanners better protect passenger privacy.'

I wasn't aware of any congressional mandate. Good news, if true.

The next step is find the true dose of radiation passengers are receiving.

Newsflash. Corrupt politicians sold off their shares in Rapiscan prior to the announcement.
