Hello,
I am looking to spoil the lady in my life by taking her to the Maldives for a week in June
I know Bangkok air fly there, but does anybody have any recommendations for travel agents in Hua Hin, or a hotel in the Maldives that would be good to stay in.
For the next month or so communication with a travel agent would need to be via email.
Thanks for the help
Regards

Travel agents are a thing of the past. The internet is your travel agent. It's especially easy to research flights and hotels. It also eliminates the travel agent conflict - they have an obvious interest to book you in the flight and hotel that pays them a higher commission.
The last time I visited the Maldives the cheapest flight was with Sri Lankan.

Most consolidators offer very good deals if you book your flight and hotel as a package - in the past I've seen flights and a week in a hotel for the same or even less than buying a flight on its ownmoater wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2017 9:16 am Travel agents are a thing of the past. These flight+hotel+car (when relevant) packages exist online as well. They do make sense sometimes, yeah.

Re: Maldives 2017
i usually don't bother with travel agents but I am trying to organise a holiday bkk to Maldives from the UK
Pricing is completely different, its hard to get flight schedules never mind available charters
its much easier and probably cheaper to do it via an agent in Thailand
I can review hotels online if given a few options
so.... anybody know any agents they would trust
moater where do they exist online I have tried to find
thanks

anybody? I have just been let down by an agent so any help would be goof
Re: Maldives 2017
Have you look at Air Asia's website? They have packages to Maldives from Bangkok with many hotels and it is easy to book from UK. Otherwise Bangkok Post has always advertisements from agents in Bangkok but it's probably difficult to get a copy of Bangkok Post in UK.
Good luck.
