Yes I did, just wanted people to wake up, and it helped. The answer I got now, is probaly from some of the 139 people reading my post before, so thanks for your help, I will work something out from this, and keep your posted.

Make sure you remember the number of the, "man with a van."

Isaan is an acquired taste and many Westerners find living there, full time, difficult.

I hope it works out for you.
:agree:

I visited for a few days at a time for a few months before committing. I lasted about a year but with a couple of breaks away ro regain my sanity

Best of luck mate. At least it will be a memorable experience of real rural Thailand not the Blackpool of Thailand that Hua Hin has become :duck:

I wouldn't really call Isaan "real Thailand" just because it's rural and poor. The "real" Thailand of today is Bangkok, even though many of us don't like it there.

And besides, Blackpool can't be that bad considering you chose to leave real Thailand so that you could return to Blackpool.

Got a solution now. The wifes brother living in BKK, have found a small truck that can have everything on it. He will come her with the brother, and help loading the truck, and the brother will drive with him to Maha Sarakram. Price THB 13500 which I think is a fair price, as he have to go back to BKK again. Richard, I gave the number to the wife and told her to call, but I think she had already made the deal with the brother.
To all of you making comments about issan, thanks for the warning, I know it will be tough, but I have been up there now 5 times, and realy like it and the people, only problem I have to learn Thai, as only the vife speeks English.
We are mooving at the end of next month, so I will keep your posted about how it is to live up there.
To the rest of you, who can only come with funny comments, get your self a life. Looking to some of you other posts, the only thing you give to this forum, is making jokes and traying to make some people look stupid. Leo
