Great Restaurant on the way down from Bangkok

Post by Terry »

Driving back from the big Mango today we stopped for lunch at 'Rim Kuan' - it's at km70 on Rama II overlooking a small khlong. Some of the best Thai food that I have sampled in ages,

Worth a stop off if you are hungry - menu is all in Thai but if you have Thai company with you - it's great

Cheers Pete

Dear huahin4ever.
You don't need a map - it's at km70 on the khlong - you can't miss it

Sorry for asking, I just think it is easier to see a map so I can put it into my GPS. I normally don't look at the markers when I'm driving. I concentrate on the road and traffic

If you must - from Google Earth
13o22’04.83N
99o57’17.57E

Didn't bother to clog up the GPS with it as the km markers can be seen by a blind man (& I should know :lach: )

I can manage to see my GPS, concentrate on my driving and the traffic, check the km marks and pick my nose at the same time :thumb:

Almost a fully integrated Thai driver - all you've got to master now is the mobile phone at the same time.

Thanks Terry - I'll give it a go next time I'm on the way back from Bangkok.

Regarding the km markers, I can honestly say that I don't see them

Forgot to mention the phone BB............

My new toy lets me make hands free calls via bluetooth from my mobile 8)

Isn't technology wonderful

I'm quite serious about the km markers - most of the main highways are even marked down to every 200m...........

The main km marks are very easy to see - even at speed.

Anyway - I'm sure that Mrs BB will enjoy the grub too. The place gets quite crowded at times,

5 of us shared Deep fried Cotton Fish, Chicken & cashew nuts, 2 plates of chicken nuggets (Thai style), Tom Yum Gai, Tom Yum Pla with scrambled egg, some spicey fish curry, big bowl of rice and a couple of bottles of water with ice.........THB 1,000 or THB 200/head for a feast
Mrs T gave it the thumbs up so it must have been ok.

these are vulgar habits that I'm sure nobody does

That's it.

Didn't realise that Google Earth had 'Street Viewed' Rama II - such is progress

And I think I see a km marker right outside the place on the verge............
