Is there any Ferry/Bus Service from Hua Hin to Pattaya

Post by biplobbd »

Hi All,

We are going to Hua hin next Friday and our next destination is Pattaya. I could not find any direct route from Hua hin to Pattaya. I prefer Ferry if available if not , can anyone help me out about Bus service. I heard about Yellow line but the post is quite old. So is it still in service ? and May I know in detail where to go for tickets and what is the pickup time.

As I am going Hua hin first time I don't know much and I went even Yellow line's site but the route seems messy for me .

Please help me out out. Thanks.

Here is the yellow bus info. Go to the section that reads:

2. Route 393 Rayong-Koh Samui

They all seem to be nighttime buses getting you into Pattaya early morning. Only pay attention to the "From Samui" columns.

You have other choices of taxi, public van and private van. I don't have first hand info about those and someone should be along to point you towards an existing thread. Pete

EDIT: Here's the ticket office info fro Yellow Bus: http://www.iloveyellowbus.com/en/ticket.html

if you are in the centre of hua hin by the police station, cross over towards the train station and take first right walk down to the lights and 30m on your right can be booked there, start at 8am every 2 hours or so

It takes as little as 4.30 as much as 5 hours. Usual kamikazi drivers. Sometimes drops you at bus station, sometimes beach road.

Could also get the bus to the airport and get one to Pats from there, think its even the same company or booking agent anyway they use the same stand at the airport.
just another option

That would give good flexibility on departure/arrival times, with comfort thrown in.

Your post got moved to this thread, and as you can see, there is no ferry any longer. Fastest is to rent a car and drive yourself (see sponsor, http://www.huahinmedia.com/huahincarrental.php ) or rent a limo from a major hotel with driver, or get a taxi direct. Other less expensive options are explained above.

If you're going for the water throwing, indeed it runs continuously to a degree, but the official dates are 18 For Naklua, 19 for Pattaya general, and I think the 20th for Jomtien.. So, if you really want to attend D Day in Pattaya, the 19th seems to be the best day. Pete
