Is there such a beast as "an average farang" in Thailand?
I read a rather succint description thereof in Night Crawlers but can not copy it here.
Further, I doubt I would get the author's permit to do so.
Opinions, anyone?

A bit easier to respond to than the average Thai.
What I have seen many of is:
Single hetrosexual men either never married, separated or divorced.
Gay men.
Retired men who have taken early retirement as they have come into money but not enough to allow them to retire in their homeland.
Fully retired men with monthly pension.
Businessmen.
Single ladies.
Men and women who work for foreign companies but are positioned her in Thailand.
Men or women who do contract work and earn sufficient sums of money to take six months leave in the winter season. (E.g oil rig workers and Northern European and North American buiders)
Many I have encountered are a combination of the above criteria. (I.e. a bit of cash that needs boosting by some sort of business here in Thailand).
