Biometric Finger Prints for UK Visa

Question please I have friends that are in the process of going from two year marriage visa to indefinite leave to remain visa. Fee paid all docs with visa application. They have been given fifteen days to go to a select post office to have biometric finger print scan you also have to provide photo ID the lady in question only has a Thai driving licence with her farang family name on it is that good enough as her passport and ID card are in the visa process. Will the post office just except her photo driving licence with the farang family name on it. Help please it's all new to me.
